HISTORICAL SHRUB ROSE; PINK
An easy grower, tolerant of poorer soils, it will flower for several weeks in mid-summer. Loose, pink double flowers with a pleasant perfume.
The fragrant, clear pink blooms appear in clusters during early- and mid-summer. Although only once-flowering, the blooms last for several weeks. Flowers can reach up to 6.5cm across and are pleasantly perfumed. Stems are greyish-green with few thorns and leaves are mid-green and semi-glossy. A good choice for the back of a border.
Ispahan is an early example of the Damask rose, a type of garden rose introduced from the Middle East in the 13th century. Named after the historic old city of Ispahan in Iran and introduced before 1832.
