A very well known variety, early-midsummer flowering with a heavenly perfume. Will tolerate shade so suitable for a northerly aspect.
Very vigorous plant with unusual deep greenish/purple stems. The deep pink to salmon flowers are heavily scented but are only on show for 3-4 weeks in mid-summer. Looks good on pergolas and is happy in a north-facing situation. This is another rambler from the Barbier stable, developed in the 1920s.
