Heavily fragrant, flowers are produced in great profusion from early summer until autumn. A good, reliable rose.
Sturdy shrub to 1.2m with strong, greyish-green stems covered with reddish thorns. Frilly-tipped , dark pink flowers are borne in small clusters or singly and are profuse from early summer to the first frosts. Powerful perfume from blooms that can reach 8cm across. Ideal for group planting, hedging or container growing. A French introduction from 1863, this rose celebrates the life of Henri d'Artois, Comte de Chambord, who was disputedly King of France (Henry V) for about seven days in 1830!
