ONCE-FLOWERING HISTORIC ROSE; WHITE
An easy-going rose to grow, which in early summer produces exquisitely formed blooms of pure white. Very fragrant.
Some experts say this is one of the most beautiful white roses ever bred. This elegant summer-flowering rose bears exquisite white, fragrant flowers which start off cupped and then open very flat as they age. There is a characteristic green eye at the centre of each bloom. Height is about 2mt and the canes are very prickly with soft green non-glossy leaves. Bred by Alexandre Hardy, an amateur rose breeder and chief horticulturist at the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris and introduced in 1832, this exquisite rose was named after his wife and was originally called Felicite Hardy.
