Prosperity is an elegant and vigorous medium-sized shrub with arching shoots bearing small, creamy white double blooms, sometimes flushed with lemon, in large clusters all summer long and well into the autumn. Glossy, dark green foliage contrasts well with the flowers, which have a delicious fragrance. Bred in 1919 by the Reverend Joseph Pemberton (born 1852), a keen amateur rose grower and president of the Royal National Rose Society in his later years.
