Type & Colour
HISTORIC; PURPLE
In Brief
Very healthy and free flowering and virtually immune to disease. This variety will make an excellent hedge.
More Detail
A vigorous, disease-resistant plant with very thorny stems bearing big open flowers in small clusters of an intense crimson/deep pink shade with cream stamens and a strong scent reminiscent of cloves and honey. Repeat flowering and very healthy. Excellent as a hedge but, unusually, it does not have any hips. One of the most popular rugosa roses. Cochet-Cochet, France, 1901.
