CLIMBER; YELLOW/CREAM
Small double blooms of yellow and cream adorn this short climber. Best grown on a sunny wall. Light fragrance.
This almost thornless climber, with yellow to deep yellow and orange blooms, reaches a height of around 4-5 mt and has a vigorous growth habit. The perfume ranges from light to medium. Happiest against a warm wall. Also known as Altaville Saffron Noisette.
Historical note: Unusually, this old garden rose was bred by a woman, Marie aka Veuve Ducher, in France in 1875, and was introduced after she died by Veuve Ducher in 1878 and named for an American correspondent as 'William Allen Richardson'.
