HISTORIC; PINK

Large shrub with large flowers and a heavy fragrance in early- to mid-summer. Will make an excellent climber.
Fully double flowers are cupped and globular in shape, being pale pink on the outside and a deeper, darker pink within. Reaching up to 6mt (20ft), in warmer areas, it can be grown as a climber or large shrub. Constance Spry flowers only once a year but its heavy, myrhh-like perfume makes it well worth growing. Bred by David Austin and introduced in 1961, it was awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit in 1993.
Named after Constance Spry, who became famous for her sensational floral decorations in the 1920s..
