This modern shrub produces large, pale yellow flowers with beautiful prominent, buff yellow stamens and a sweet, pleasant scent. If not dead-headed, produces attractive orange hips A vigorous and prickly shrub, this looks good in a mixed border. Bred by eminent rose historian Roy Shepherd in 1956. Winner of the RHS's Award of Garden Merit in 1993.
